Attendees 101: What to Expect at TEDxVancouver 2015
November 4th, 2015
TEDxVancouver 2015 is in a little over a week! Are you ready for this year’s event?
To better prepare you for our biggest event yet, we’ve put together a list of things of what to expect:
MAIL-OUT | You should (if you haven’t already) receive a package from us very soon. It should include: your attendee name card, your corresponding guests name cards (if applicable), and an informational pamphlet on this year’s event.
Be sure to bring your badge to the event. This badge (along with your electronic or printed ticket) is your access to the event.
Haven’t received your badge in the mail? You’ll be able to pick it up onsite on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13 FROM 4:00pm – 7:00pm at Gate 3, or on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 14 AT 8:00am at Gate 3.
PLEASE NOTE THAT your badge is not valid for entry; you will need your barcode ticket to return into the venue should you leave.
If you purchased multiple tickets and transferred then, then you should receive the barcode for that ticket directly to your guest.
If you’ve purchased multiple tickets and did not transfer, then you may give extra tickets to guests (even though the ticket is in your name) IF arriving together (though technically not a requirement).
PRE-PURCHASED MEALS | We’ve prepared a tantalizing lunch menu featuring locally sourced ingredients from Ed’s Daily, a local café in Strathcona.
If you and your group have purchased a lunch, the registration package that was pre-mailed should have included your lunch option sticker. Please be sure to stick this on your name card!
You will receive a separate barcode for your pre-purchased lunch (if purchased) or use your sticker (if pre-mailed) to claim your lunch.
These pre-purchased meals will be the only food available within the venue. Capacity lineups at all other options should be expected. We highly recommend you pre-purchase your meal from Ed’s Daily now to avoid disappointment.
Choose from one of four options, including: Kale and Soba Salad, Pineapple Beef Sandwich, Tomato Manchego on Potato Baguette, or the Gluten-Free Two Rivers El Heffe Rice Bowl.
All food from outside vendors or restaurants will not be allowed within the venue. Guarantee yourself a comfortable meal inside the venue and avoid lines at outside vendors.
