Escape Your Comfort Zone and Eat Exotic Food at TEDxVancouver 2014

This year’s highly anticipated TEDxVancouver event plans on shaking up your comfort zone in every single way. Even what you’ll be eating at the event, which will be provided by Dax and Brett, the masterminds behind Cocktails and Canapés.

We’ll be serving coffee from the beloved Gastown café, Timbertrain Coffee Roasters, to start off your morning, along with juices, artisan teas, a yogurt bar, and an assortment of fresh-baked pastries.

For lunch, we’re preparing delicious salads and sandwiches using fresh, seasonal ingredients.


Then comes the exciting part.


After more than half a day of exhilarating talks from our exciting line-up of speakers, attendees will receive a cookie. But don’t expect the ordinary; it’s not going to taste like what you would expect it to.

But that’s only a segue into what we’re most excited for.


Our three interactive food stations will not consist of cheese and crackers. It will not consist of your run-of-the-mill vegetable tray.


Think the latest food trends. Think protein-packed creatures that aren’t necessarily popular in North America. Think food that looks like one thing, but tastes like something else altogether.

Camel, meal worms, hot dog-shaped cupcakes, and kangaroo are only some of the tantalizing features.


We’re about to push you out of your comfort zone, and we want to stimulate every single one of your senses. Get ready for October 18th. TEDxVancouver is coming to town.
